Wooden & Woodgrain Laminates

A wooden laminate is an HPL sheet printed with a realistic woodgrain pattern, then bonded onto plywood or MDF. It gives the look of teak, oak or walnut but resists scratches, moisture and warping far better than solid wood, costs less, and needs no polishing. Indians often call it wooden sunmica.

Use 1mm (Artis 1MM) for surfaces that take heavy use or impact — main doors, table tops and commercial furniture. Choose 0.8mm (Woodrica or Artvio) for wardrobe shutters, cabinets and general home furniture, where it balances durability with a lower cost. Both are full HPL grade.

Woodgrain laminates suit wardrobe shutters, bedroom and living-room furniture, main and flush doors, kitchen cabinets, TV and feature walls, study tables and office desks. The warm grain works as both a full surface and an accent against solid-colour or stone-finish laminates.

Decorative HPL is dense and moisture-resistant on the surface, which makes woodgrain laminates a practical choice for kitchen cabinet fronts and doors. For wet zones, ensure edges are properly sealed and the substrate (plywood/MDF) is moisture-resistant grade, since exposed edges and the core matter most.
